STUDY HARD, PLAY HARD - LIFE AFTER SPORT
West Perth, together with the West Coast Eagles, Edith Cowan University and an array of local sporting stars, all of whom are tertiary students including our own Sandover Medallist Aaron Black, took part in a recent special event for Perth high school students.
Aaron was part of a guest speaker panel interview to share his positive experiences as a tertiary student and elite athlete, as part of a project which uses sports role models to encourage students to undertake tertiary education.
West Coast Eagles legend John Worsfold's inspirational message of the importance of education resonated with the students as the guest of honour recounted completing his degree in pharmacy as the best decision of his life.
