Heatbreak for Hamilton
West Perth’s Full Back, Mark Hamilton’s season is over after tearing his left hamstring off the bone in the Round 19 clash against Swan Districts. Hamilton is having surgery today to re-attach the tendon and repair the damage to his leg.
It’s heartbreaking news for the veteran defender who has been a staple of West Perth’s defence over his 113 league games for the Club since 2016. Mark has played a major role in the Falcon’s success this season only missing two games due to COVID earlier this year and he will be missed as the Falcons prepare to take on Subiaco this weekend before embarking on their 8th consecutive finals campaign.
General Manager of Football Operations, Steve Trewhella said “it’s difficult to see any of your players go down with a severe injury and it’s heartbreaking for Mark, but he is such a resilient and pragmatic person. He was at the Club for training this week and is in good spirits. Once he gets through his surgery, we look forward to seeing him back on his feet soon”.
