WOMEN'S FOOTY FINALS COME TO HBF ARENA
The Preliminary Finals see South Fremantle and Claremont fight it out as they both play off to secure their spot in the ‘Rogers Cup’ Grand Final against Peel.
In Female Football’s Senior Competitions, the WAWFL Reserves Preliminary Final will see Swan Districts play off against the Joondalup Falcons with the winner going through to play the Coastal Titans for the Reserves Flag.
In the WAWFL’s League Division, the Coastal Titans will take on the Peel Thunderbirds for the remaining League Grand Final spot to take on WAWFL reigning Premiers Swan Districts.
Game day favourites Coastal Titans will be dominant in their hit-out against the Thunderbirds, but acknowledge the fast and physical game they will have ahead of them. Coastal Titans League captain Lauren Stammers is confident her team can take home the win and secure a spot in the Grand Final. “We’ve got lots of work to do next [this] week. Peel are a young team and a really good team so we’ve got to be ready for them,” said Stammers.
We encourage as many West Perth supporters to get along to cheer on our Joondalup Falcons in this historical occasion as Female Football makes its debut at HBF Arena!
Preliminary Finals this Sunday 24th, with WAFC Youth Girls playing at 10.30am, WAWFL Reserves games at 12pm and WAWFL League played at 2pm.
Grand finals will be played the following week, Sunday 31st August, and will showcase the best female football in WA. Games will be played from 10am, with the day concluding at 5pm.
