The West Perth Football Club joins the football community in issuing its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Perth Football Club President Vince Pendal, who passed away on Saturday.

WAFC Chairman Murray McHenry said Mr Pendal had been an outstanding contributor to Perth Football Club and the West Australian Football League and would be missed by everyone involved with WA Football.

“Vince always had the best interests of Perth Football Club at heart and made a terrific contribution during his two stints as President,” Mr McHenry said.

“He was a tireless worker behind the scenes, generous with his time and very well respected and loved by all who were fortunate enough to be involved with him.

“Vince also played a leading role in the club’s future facility planning in partnership with the Town of Victoria Park and the West Coast Eagles, and should be very proud of his achievements to leave the club in a better position than when he commenced as President.

“His hard work to help establish an exciting new future for the Demons at Lathlain will be an ongoing legacy at Perth Football Club and a reminder of his passion and commitment.”

West Perth President, Brett Raponi, speaks of his fellow President "Vince had a dignified way of discussing his views on football. Always with passion but always with compassion and empathy for others. Our club was always made to feel very much welcome at Lathlain Park. I like many others will miss him and wish Kerrie-Ann and Vicki my sincere condolences.
